What support coordination costs you.
NDIS support coordination costs you nothing out of pocket. It is paid from the Capacity Building budget already in your plan, at or under the national price limits: $80.06 per hour for Level 1 Support Connection, $100.14 per hour for Level 2 Coordination of Supports and $190.54 per hour for Level 3 Specialist Support Coordination, effective 1 July 2026.

A worked example
Say your plan has $5,000 of Coordination of Supports. At the Level 2 limit of $100.14 an hour that is roughly 50 hours to use across the plan — about an hour a week over twelve months, or a larger block up front and less later.
In practice most plans are front-loaded: the first two months take more hours because that is when providers are found, agreements are signed and services start. We tell you at the first meeting how we plan to spread the hours, and we tell you when the budget is getting low rather than after it has gone.
What comes out of the budget
- Time in meetings with you, in person or by phone
- Calls, emails and follow-up with providers on your behalf
- Writing service agreements and setting up bookings
- Travel to and from home visits, within the NDIS limits
- Reports the NDIA asks for before a plan review
All of it is set out in your service agreement before anything is claimed. If something is not in the agreement, we do not claim it.
If coordination is not funded in your plan
You can ask for it. Look under Capacity Building for "Support Connection", "Coordination of Supports" or "Specialist Support Coordination" — if none of them appear, coordination is not currently funded.
The request is made at a plan review, or through a plan variation if your circumstances have changed. What makes it succeed is evidence: what you tried to organise, what fell over, and what it cost you in health, housing or safety terms. Cost questions
How much does an NDIS support coordinator cost?
Nothing out of pocket. Support coordination is paid from the Capacity Building budget in your NDIS plan. Providers must charge at or under the national price limits in the NDIS Pricing Schedule 2026-27: $80.06 per hour for Level 1 Support Connection, $100.14 per hour for Level 2 Coordination of Supports and $190.54 per hour for Level 3 Specialist Support Coordination. These rates took effect on 1 July 2026.
How many hours of support coordination will my funding buy?
Divide the dollar amount in your plan by the hourly rate for your level. At the Level 2 rate of $100.14 per hour, $5,000 of Coordination of Supports funding is roughly 50 hours across the plan, or about one hour a week for a twelve-month plan. Your coordinator should tell you at the start how they intend to spread the hours and warn you before the budget runs low.
Can a support coordinator charge for travel and reports?
Yes, within limits. Provider travel to and from you is claimable from the same budget under the NDIS pricing rules, and so is time spent writing the reports the NDIA asks for. Both should be discussed and set out in your service agreement before they are claimed, so there are no surprises.
What happens if my coordination hours run out?
The work stops unless more funding is added, so it should never come as a surprise. A good coordinator tracks the budget against the plan end date and tells you months ahead. If the hours were genuinely insufficient, that becomes evidence for your next plan review — which is one of the things we help you document.
Do you charge anything the NDIS does not cover?
No. We charge at or under the published price limits and claim from your plan. There are no membership fees, no administration fees and no charge for the first conversation.
